Taking the five loaves and two fish, He looked up to heaven, broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before the people; They all ate and were satisfied.”

–Mark 6:41-42

The Walnut Hills Soup Kitchen and Pantry, located 2631 Gilbert Avenue, across from Assumption Church, provides meals to the area’s homeless, low income and working poor. The soup kitchen provides eight meals per week, serving every day and twice on Saturday. In addition, the Pantry distributes approximately 600 bags of groceries every month.

Our Lord Christ the King parishioners prepare meals, serve and clean up the kitchen on Wednesdays. However, the kitchen utilizes over 12,000 volunteer hours every year, so support is needed at other times, too.
