Habitat for Humanity – New Home Dedicated!

Saturday, August 13, 2022 was a great day of celebration for one special family and a cadre of Habitat for Humanity volunteers. The Avant Family took ownership of a brand new house in Evanston that was built entirely by volunteers, including several from Christ the King. This house is the 27th to be built by the Shalom Coalition, a group of Cincinnati churches that came together 36 years ago to work with our local Habitat for Humanity. The house at 1665 Jonathan took about 14 weeks to build with the new homeowner contributing 250 hours of “sweat equity.” Congratulations to the following Christ the King volunteers who also contributed to this build: Tom Wittekind, Tom Brinkman, Ed Winter and Bob Miller.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer on our next build, please reach out to our parish contact Tom Wittekind, twittekind@cinci.rr.com.
