Pope John Paul II insists, “We are all really responsible for all.” Loving our neighbor has global dimensions in a shrinking world. At the core of the virtue of solidarity is the pursuit of justice and peace. Pope Paul VI taught that “if you want peace, work for justice.” –Catholic Telegraph (online version), July 30, 2004 About Interfaith Hospitality Network Our Lord Christ the King Parish is a supporting congregation of the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) of Greater Cincinnati, an organization that ensures shelter, meals, case management and referrals to homeless families. IHN works by combining the resources of religious congregations who provide temporary housing and three daily meals. Supporting congregations work in conjunction with host congregations who need extra volunteer, meal and monetary assistance. Our Lord Christ the King collaborates with nearby Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, a hosting congregation. In this role, parish volunteers prepare and serve dinners as well as plan pre-bedtime activities for guest families who are housed at Redeemer. Some volunteers serve as overnight hosts.
